Description
A Telephonist - Switchboard operator is required for 6 months (likely to be extended) based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is a great opportunity to work for a large well known company on part time basis. Our Client is looking for a telephonist to answer incoming calls, direct callers to the appropriate person or department, take telephone numbers and connect outgoing calls.
The Telephonist - Switchboard operator will need good hearing and a clear telephone voice. You will also need a good standard of English and computer skills.
The hours will be 4pm to 8pm Monday to Friday with some weekend work at 2pm to 6pm (1 or 2 weekends a month).
Public Sector experience would be an advantage but not essential. You must have experience of handling a high volume of calls.
There is a good chance of this role going perm for the right person.
This role is to start ASAP and will pay between £7-8 per hour (PAYE) or £9-10 per hour (Ltd/Umbrella).
