A Pensions Administrator required for this leading FTSE100 company within their large pensions team. this 12 month contract is available for a pensions administrator who can hit the ground running and assist with a back log of work.

You will undertake all aspects of scheme administration on both defined benefit and defined contribution scheme administration. Assisting with ad-hoc project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • To receive, and input requests for work on to the pensions administration database.
  • To process the work requests in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
  • To input data from letters, emails and telephone conversations onto the pensions administration database.
  • To check standard written correspondence and produce non-standard free-format written correspondence in response to enquiries.
  • To respond and take ownership for standard and complex customer queries.
  • To check pre-calculated quotations from system for distribution to members.
  • To perform manual calculations and produce quotations for distribution to members.
  • To update the pensions administration database as required.
  • To arrange for the settlement of benefits in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
  • To manage and prioritise own workload.
  • To look at ways in which processes and procedures can be improved and drive forward any ideas.
  • To deal with basic and more complex telephone enquiries, in a polite and professional manner, about all aspects of the pension arrangements, whilst maintaining strict confidence about individual's private information.
  • To be aware of, and adhere to the SLA standards that apply.
  • To ensure that any issues or problems are raised with a more senior member of the team at the earliest opportunity.
  • To ensure that personal skills and knowledge are kept up to date in accordance with your role requirements and future development.
  • To undertake periodic projects as required.
  • To deal with other ad hoc tasks as requested and prioritising within ongoing responsibilities.
