Web Developer (remote)

Description

Work on large scale website for Fortune 100 companies developing WordPress plugins, themes, and HTML5 applications.

Day-to-day, you will:

Solve complex problems in simple ways.

Leverage the WordPress API and extend the WordPress admin experience.

Solve bugs and issues as they come up.

Juggle current projects with incoming tasks.

Respond to clients courteously when necessary.

Solve client challenges with understanding and empathy.

Test solutions in multiple browsers in a local testing environment.

Deploy changes to live servers.

Assist in the remediation, enhancement, and maintenance of client sites.

Requirements

Intermediate or expert skills in: HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, WordPress.

Code portfolio. Link us to your GitHub account, share a .zip, or both.

Experience using Git or SVN.

Ability to setup a local environment for testing PHP code (Vagrant usage is a plus!)

Proficiency in verbal and written English.

Ability to communicate professionally with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients.

Great to have, but not required

Computer Science degree.

Experience working for demanding or enterprise-level clients.

Evidence of contribution to the broader community.
