The Rockefeller University has engaged Jack Farrell & Associates to find the next Executive Editor of the Journal of Cell Biology, one of the most highly respected peer-reviewed journals in the biomedical field.

Relocation of the winning candidate is available as is sponsorship of H-1B visa candidates.

Under the general direction of the Press Director and the academic Editors, the Executive Editor will be responsible for the administration of the peer review process and will take an active role in the development and implementation of progressive improvements to the Journal. The successful candidate will work with an in-house Associate Editor and News Editor, will supervise the editorial office staff, and will oversee all aspects of manuscript review and data screening.

General goals include attracting high quality submissions to the Journal, and maximizing office efficiency. Other responsibilities include serving as liaison to the production department and to outside contractors who develop applications for the Journal. Travel to relevant scientific meetings and laboratory visits will be required.
