This position offers a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineers an exciting opportunity to join the world's largest defence company.

To be considered for this position candidates must be eligible to be SC cleared and be a resident of the UK.

Required Skills:

* Working within a large multi-disciplinary engineering team
* Excellent knowledge of various Systems Engineering life cycle concepts
* Ability to use innovation and traditional methods to develop technical solutions to both simple and more complex problems
* Working towards major design reviews in accordance with standard defence industry practices
* Development and maintenance of Requirements using DOORS
* Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* Development and management of System level architecture models using UML/SysML
* Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following tools; DOORS, IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational Publishing Engine
* Trade Study analysis against system component behaviour and specifications
* Knowledge of Armoured Fighting Vehicles design
* Frequent use and application of Systems Engineering technical standards, and MoD documentation (eg Def Stans), principles, theories, concepts and techniques and applying their relevance to the projects
* Development of Verification & Acceptance (V&A) statements
* Knowledge of MILCAN and Network Architectures
* Electrical and Mechanical engineering knowledge/background
* Team player
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and without appreciable guidance

Standard Job Description:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:
Concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through around 9 years of professional experience. Will also consider individuals with equivalent experience/combined education.
