Our client is a household name Financial Institution with offices and branches across the UK. We are recruiting for a senior Risk Manager or Managing Consultant with experience of QRM specifically in the Retail Secured products space.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Demonstrate a proven track record in risk management, preferably with a number of years' experience in Retail Secured product area. This should include experience of managing a portfolio through the various stages of the credit risk cycle.
Have experience in leading, motivating and developing a team of analysts.
Have a track record of driving through change within timescales.
Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills including ability to work closely with others Senior Managers in Credit Risk and other stakeholder management.
Have the ability to juggle a number of activities ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and standards.
A strong quantitative degree ideally from a Financial, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related subject.
A self-motivated starter with good organisational and communication skills who is adept at working on both their own initiative and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
A proven track record of applying project, business and technical skills to real commercial business problems that have delivered tangible and quantifiable business benefits.
A logical approach with attention to detail and a planned delivery focus that meets cost, quality and time critical objectives.
Demonstration of strong communication skills combined with a friendly, professional approach, and an ability to interact and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The ability to deal with conflicting demands and prioritisation of tasks. A high level of PC competency with experience in using formal project planning software tools.
An aptitude in capturing, analysing, documenting and validating business and technical requirements across a varied range of developments. You'll have solid experience in producing written documents, with strong presentation and IT skills.
Knowledge and use of databases and analysis tools, particularly SAS & SQL is advantageous, but certainly not essential.
Knowledge and use of QRM is advantageous, but certainly not essential.
A good understanding of the group's lending and wider business operations.
