Financial Controller urgently required on a 6 month contract basis in London
You will be responsible for covering the two main Group Insurance Companies (GICs), reporting to the Holdings Team Controller, interacting with senior stakeholders and advising on a variety of accounting issues as well as the wider implications of transactions. Reporting of several Group pension schemes and externalised pensions along with providing accounting support and advice.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record as a Financial Controller, qualified to accountant level (ACA or equivalent) with experience of working with the project teams and Group reporting to agree the accounting for newly externalised pension schemes. Successful candidates will have a previous knowledge of implementing tightly controlled reporting processes to support quarterly Group reporting and annual statutory reporting processes.
Candidates who have a previous background in the Oil & Gas arena will be at a distinct advantage
