Summary:

A highly organized and detail oriented individual who is able to accurately plan, maintain, and keep track of the fabrication shop's projects and materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with shop personnel regarding schedules, material status, and any other pertinent information.

  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner by wearing all required PPE, and by adhering to all applicable safety requirements and standards of the company.

  • Work independently to complete all tasks assigned on time.

  • Create spreadsheets and/or databases to assist with the planning of projects including, but not limited to, material, completion dates, location, etc.

  • Manage the use of all materials by accurately entering tracking information into the project(s) spreadsheets and/or databases.

  • Communicate with supervisors and various other departments to coordinate and acquire materials needed.

  • Provide administrative support for the shop's management personnel.

  • Maintain the fabrication shop warehouse by accounting for all inventory items and adjusting, as needed, according to both the current and projected workload.

    • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seek assistance with weights over 50 pounds.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
      • Stooping
      • Bending
      • Squatting
      • Climbing
      • Crawling

Experience Requirements:

  • Any combination of Education and/or Experience in 1 or more of the following areas:

    • Shop Fabrication

    • Project Management

  • Able to read and/or develop 2D technical drawings.

  • Strong computer skills with the following hardware and software applications:

    • 3D Modeling (Solidworks, Sketch Up, or AutoCAD Inventor)

    • Graphic Art Programs (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint, etc.)
