Telecoms UCCE Engineer being sought for global retail organisation.

Tasks will include:
- Develop and implement processes to insure system stability, that meets the business growth, enables connectivity to applications within an enterprise environment, and provide documentation and metrics that reflects the configuration of our telecommunication systems.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for technical Engineering and Operations team members, as well as peers.
- Take the lead in working with our business partners to develop solutions and systems in support of their projects and business requirements.
- Design and development of the telecommunication infrastructure to insure stability for critical applications including disaster recovery and system recovery plans.
- Provide support to associates within Telecommunications as well as other groups for complex production systems and services.
- Definition, discovery, testing and assessment of new products and services and provide recommendations to IT management and business partners.
- Provide strategic advice in determining the long range planning for telecommunication infrastructure and services.

Knowledge, skills & experience:
Extensive hands on experience with Telephony, specifically with Cisco Call Manager and Contact Center UCCE/UCCX. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills to work with all levels of management within the organization and external customer, suppliers and vendors. Strong management and organizational skills as to independently handle conflicting priorities to meet organizational service levels and business requirements. Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot information systems problems and negotiate coordinate and implement arrangements for repairs. Telecom technology provider familiarity (ISDN30, BRI, SIP) would be a plus. Demonstrated understanding of industry standard VOIP technologies including SIP, H.323, G.711, G.729, TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, TFTP, IEEE 802.3 family, QoS, and CoS; would be a plus Enterprise Video conferencing (would be a plus). Experience configuring and troubleshooting with voice communication systems, call center technologies, call center design, and LAN/WAN environments would be a plus 50% operational tasks and 50% strategic work
