For our client, a globally active firm headquartered in Zurich, we are looking to staff a Usability Engineer to start on 02 Mar, 2015
Job Description
• Elaborates interaction concepts and user interface specifications for platform projects together with customer representatives and development-teams.
• Performs usability tests, documents results and elaborates improvements.
• Supports the creation of interaction and usability-related requirements.
• Is accountable that all regulatory relevant topics are documented, updated and referenced in the official documentation.
• Supports and guides the project team concerning planning, coordination and execution of a usability engineering process during development from project start to post launch phase.
• Supports project teams with the application of user centered design, prototyping and usability methods.
• Supports project teams to implement the guidelines related to industrial and user interface design.
• Works together with external agencies.
Must Haves
• Bachelor / Master in Human Computer Interaction Design, Human Factors or related area or 5 years of practical experience in this field.
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
• Experience in the field of visual design or software engineering.
• Positive attitude towards people, ability to connect to a wide range of personalities.
• High degree of self-organization, active information collector and connector..
Nice to Haves
• Fluent in further languages.
• Working experience in a strongly regulated environment (healthcare, defense, avionics, automotive).
• Working experience with different cultural environments.
• Experience with Balsamiq, Axure, Visual Studio, HTML 5/CSS.
• Experience with workshop moderation and organizational development.
• A good sense of humor.

Start Date: 02 Mar, 2015 or by agreement
Duration: 6 months with extension
