Windows Systems Administrators are required for long term contract work in Valencia, Spain. As part of a growing technical team, you will be responsible for the client's day-to-day maintenance and administration of Windows, VMWare, Hyper-V and systems centre environments.
This is an English speaking role and will include 24/7 shift based support. It is a great organisation to work for, very well known and it offers an excellent work environment.
Systems Administrator duties:

. Day-to-day Windows, VMWare, Hyper-V and SCOM support and maintenance
. Troubleshooting and administration tasks related to Windows, VMware, Hyper-V and SCOM
. System administration tasks related to standard server software, such as database Servers, web Servers, Application Server, etc.
. Provide 1st and 2nd level support for incidents
. Handle service requests appropriately and in line with client procedures
. Ensure access is granted to systems for authorised users
. Prevent access to non-authorised users by using Access Management process
Windows Administrator skills required:

. Five years related experience
. Technically strong in system administration of Windows, VMware, Hyper-V and SCOM
. Background in supporting large number of Servers
. Must have the ability to manage and apply updates, patches, bug fixes and other deployments to the server farms
. Very good experience with the use of Monitoring tools such as HPOV NNM, Microsoft SCOM, SCCM
. Microsoft certifications are highly desirable (MCSE, MCTS, MCSA .)
. LAN, WAN and Internet technologies and protocols knowledge
. Practical experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)
. Good knowledge in disaster recovery and data protection software
. Familiar with Service Management tools (Ticketing systems such as Remedy)
. Knowledge of ITIL Service Management best practices - ITIL certification preferred
