Charles River Investment Management System Specialist ---Sacramento, CA
Job Summary - This 10 month contract opportunity is for a Charles River Investment Management System Specialist role within a government sector. The individual in this role will primarily be responsible for the following:
PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS
The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks:
Provide detailed technical and functional requirements based on existing application and scripted processes/interfaces to the various INVO projects project
Be available to meet with vendors, the Technology Management Unit (TMU) and project staff to discuss and respond to questions about processes, interfaces, etc.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the form of technical review and analysis of vendor solutions, including but limited to hosting, application and data services
Develop and support processes for file transfers to and from the Charles River hosted solution
Develop new customized Charles River Order Management system (CRIMS) Crystal Reports and/or CRIMS batch processes to be integrated and automated by CRD management services team
Provide Investment Business System Analysis and Development for existing Mission critical INVO applications
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the form of technical review and analysis of vendor solutions, including but limited to hosting, application and data services
Assist with new reports, blotters, workflow monitors, adding users to systems, privilege granting, and research in Support trading tools, specifically Excel Macros, Add-ins, and Workbooks, provide enhancements as needed
Maintain documentation for all enhancements and changes made to any systems, Excel Macros (including, but not limited to, OrderLoader and Optimizer), Add-ins, workbooks, databases and processes for complete change history
As directed by TMU, complete development and enhance an Investment Data Processing (IDaP) solution to monitor the files received/send by INVO users to external vendors: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Analysis, Design and Development of the Report Delivery Application and Monitoring infrastructure
Administer the version controller repository of the Application and Infrastructure C# source code
Adapt existing processes to the Monitoring infrastructure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Other required minimum qualifications include:
Investment business and Investment systems knowledge ( eg Charles River Investment Management System, advanced/complex Excel Macros, Add-ins and workbooks, MS Access) Programming experience in C#, C++, .NET, Crystal Reports
Object Orientated development methodologies knowledge
Operating System Platforms experience (Unix, Windows, and Linux)
Database languages (ie Structure Query Language (SQL), and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures experience
Experience in HTTP
Performance tuning of complex SQL queries
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Technical Project Management experience
