SAS Analyst - Credit Risk

6 month + contract opportunity for an experienced Credit Risk Data Analyst/MI Analyst with good SAS skills to join one of the world's leading financial services organisations.

The focus of this role will be to develop, validate, interpret and deliver MI Production on a regular and ad hoc basis for the Credit Risk team in the Consumer Business across the Mortgage portfolio.

Responsibilities;

Responsible for production of regular MIS, including critical reports sent to Region, in an accurate and timely manner.

Proactively design, develop and enhance MIS production.

Ensure MIS is available for review by Credit Risk Senior Management and the wider UK Consumer business both accurately and punctual.

Assist in the production of Ad Hoc requests and Business reviews by product or life cycle reporting (Acquisition, Account Management, Collections & Recovery).

Assist in the production of loss forecasting plans and Loan Loss Reserve calculation/forecasting or CCAR Planning cycles.

Responsible for ensuring MIS is in place in order to comply with Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policy and local legal and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the preparation of FCR/IA readiness and any internal audit or regulatory reporting requirements.

Support in the development, production and enhancement of Regional and Global presentation decks.

Help out in the development of automation and efficiencies for all the reporting and validation exercises.

Leverage a data mining tool eg Cognos to disseminate information/data more efficiently, effectively and robustly.

Support the hosting monthly cross department meetings disseminating key learnings (risk and opportunities) from the monthly MI and working with the Analytics team and Collections team to leverage this information in strategy development.

Experience;

  • Experience in UK Credit Risk, preferably on a Consumer Credit portfolio.
  • Multi product knowledge and experience.
  • Understanding of UK global credit policies (GCCRFP).
  • Highly analytical and numerical.
  • Attention to detail, can work well with large amount of data.
  • Experience with SAS (2 years minimum preferably) and to a lesser extent SQL.
  • Proven experience in all Microsoft Office Products.
