One of my large NHS clients in the North West is looking for a contract Clinical Coder to help clear a small backlog and then work as part of the coding team to cover holiday and various substantive leave.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the recently restructured clinical coding team at a North West based NHS Foundation Trust. If you are ACC qualified in the process of gaining accreditation or looking to enter the coding profession then this is the role for you.
You will be responsible for the abstraction of clinical data from patient records and translating it into diagnostic and procedure coding classifications. You should be able to demonstrate competence in the use of ICD10 and OPCS 4.6 classifications, coding rules and application of national clinical coding standards across acute specialties is a prerequisite. Proven NHS coding experience required.
