Description:
You are a highly experienced SAP Application Manager who can take responsibility for support & maintenance processes of several SAP Modules. Your global team works with business and IT partners to develop, maintain and enhance the client's Global Business Applications based on global processes, policies and tooling. Its objective is to add business value by delivering innovative and common solutions for improved operational excellence.
This involves:
* Managing applications on a daily basis and implementing small changes
* Supporting demand management and project support
* Developing common Information Management solutions for the BA with common processes and an overall application strategy
* Defining and implementing standards for application technology
Your role:
You will be accountable for several SAP modules and be a gatekeeper ensuring a high quality of delivery. You will be responsible for the implementation of governance procedures and for the management of major activities for our application landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Together with your team you drive the support and maintenance of the applications in the Corporate Functions area.
Your major area of responsibilities will be:
* Manage and Plan the entire life cycle of the SAP Applications with solution architects and application owners. Ensure that when new functionality is delivered from Project to Operations, it is done at an agreed and acceptable level of quality - otherwise refuse to accept gracefully with feedback for further optimisations.
* Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business owners, project implementation teams to ensure proper identification of requirements, implementation and rollout of the systems.
* Performance Management: Define, Track, Monitor, and Act-on various performance metrics on assigned applications. Visualise and present ongoing trends to business stakeholders.
* Work closely with vendors to ensure proper delivery of planned optimizations within delivery dates and with the agreed levels of quality.
* Monitor vendors for SLA adherence. Optimize the sourcing set-up with key focus on enhancing quality and reducing costs.
* Manage and work in alignment with the existing processes based on ITIL such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, etc.
* Manage application costs and budgets giving full cost transparency of the application and taking responsibility for the total cost of ownership.
* Work closely with your colleagues in our Shared Service Centers application teams and suppliers, providing global support to end users to use the system effectively as well as efficiently.
Who we are looking for.
You have:
* Over 5 years of SAP working experience, out of which at least 3 years in application delivery (24/7) in a global environment.
* Experience in partnering with the business in a multicultural organization, proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels outside the IT organization.
* Proven analytical skills, and ability to apply critical reasoning and problem solving in highly complex situations.
* Proven track record on both strategic and tactical levels, while knowing when to switch.
* Good communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
* Good understanding of IT operational processes and structures.
* Ability to lead and work within teams is essential.
* Preferred experience in managing technical teams (internally or with suppliers).
* Good general knowledge of SAP (several core modules: SD, MM, FI, CO etc).
