Our biopharmaceutical client is currently undergoing a large change onsite, starting up manufacturing for their own biopharmaceutical product for the first time.They are looking for the support of an interim of Senior Manager IT to be responsible for all IT systems on site. This is a dynamic and challenging assignment with both hands-on and management elements involved as well as a strong emphasis on driving quality compliance.
Location: Düsseldorf Germany
Duration: Initial 6 months contract (possible extension)
Role:
This position is responsible to adapt the global information strategy for the site, set up a IT department and establish the most efficient utilisation of IT for all business processes.
This role is responsible for overseeing all of the following functions: manufacturing and laboratory systems; information systems; computer operations; network systems; data warehouse; telecommunications and enterprise-wide systems.
Duties of role:
• Co-ordinate with corporate headquarters to implement and maintain an IT platform strategy capable of supporting a global company preparing for commercialisation.
• Be the local point of contact for IT initiatives and co-ordinate the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems.
• Oversee continued evolution of existing infrastructure.
• Manage local IT support team to effectively support the needs of the business.
• Develop and manage IT departmental budget, goals, objectives and operating procedures.
• Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations particularly regarding 21CFR11 and SOX requirements.
• Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality and fosters learning, open communication, collaboration, integration and teamwork.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
• Proven experience with progressive leadership and team management experience in a fast paced environment, ideally in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• A proven track record of establishing and implementing new technology strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess significant technical knowledge and experience in enterprise-grade applications, systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Knowledgeable in infrastructure and operations related security controls.
• Fluency in German and English is essential for this position.
