Collateral Analyst

Location: Edinburgh

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £16 to £18 per hour

My client a leading Investment and Asset Management specialist is currently seeking a contract Collateral Analyst for an initial period of 6 months. The role holder will be expected to operate alongside the Project and  Product teams to deliver and build a consistent and strategic Derivative process.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Ensure daily complex exception reporting is completed within guidelines with any errors promptly rectified therefore maintaining data integrity standards

  • Continually reassess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructures, and the impact of new technology

  • Accountable for own day-to-day performance and meeting tight deadlines. Expected to make decisions and resolve queries in an accurate and timely manner

  • Take ownership of tasks/issues and ensure these are all followed through to completion.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Understanding of Derivatives products (ETD and OTC) within the Investment Bank/Fund Services Industry.

  • Awareness of collateral management is desirable

  • Ability to handle and be comfortable with change

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proven analytical skills

Qualifications

  • University Degree, ideally in Investment banking domain.

  • CISI qualifications are desirable

Knowledge in Asset Management/Investment industry is essential for this role, unfortunately candidates without this experience will not be considered for this role.

We would be willing to consider strong Graduates, who have come from an investment banking based subject
