Description
Key responsibility areas:
- Detailed analysis of as-is to to-be positions for Insurance Finance systems: in terms of systems, processes, data, reporting and people capabilities.
- Identifying the gap (between as-is and to-be) and understanding the scenarios and options available to move the current capability forward.
- Structure and communicate design options to senior stakeholders.
- Liaise with various of the client's departments to get a clear and validated understanding of where Insurance Finance is now and what outcomes they want to achieve.
Detailed understanding of the day to day role
- Establish the client's Insurance Finance as-is and to-be positions identifying the issues and opportunities to Finance through a variety of techniques.
- Understand the key drivers and various lenses that senior management will consider when challenging and ultimately embedding a strategy.
- Research various topics and look to present finding in a clear and logical way using written and visual techniques.
- Understanding the Principles of Organisational Change: understanding the mentality of people and the change curve. This is really about being a people person, bringing people on a journey and implementing change in the organisation successfully and ensuring it is retained.
Experience:
- Business architecture in a Finance environment.
- Continuous improvement and systems thinking techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management/Business Process Re-engineering, Organisational mapping and Business Interaction flow mapping
- Requirements Gathering and Process Analysis.
- Working with Finance and ideally in a Finance and Actuarial department.
- Providing a business centric view of a problem and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience in defining a workshop objective, setup workshop materials to enable the workshop to meet the objectives set, and deliver/control the workshop in an orderly fashion.
- Strong experience in working with a variety of people and at various levels.
