Description
Our client is looking for an experienced ORT Engineer - VONE-C is a portfolio of cloud-based integrated Unified Communication Services. Service Capabilities such as Voice and Messaging are offered to End-users on an Opex subscription basis and are provided from Core Platforms in Vodafone data centres. This capability is currently being rolled out to different regions, additional data centres are being launched and more functionality is being added to the existing solution.
Operational Readiness Testing covers the verification of the operational processes and services, plus the physical provisioning, servicing and fault rectification within the platform. Test coverage will include utilising features and processes.
The team work with colleagues in business-as-usual roles that will execute the ORT tests that verify the processes which will be part of their own BAU role. The Test Analyst must be able to determine, document and gain agreement of the tests required within the End-to-End process.
Ability to develop test scenarios and test cases from Operational Requirements and Service Documentation
Liaising with the user community to discuss, update and ensure the agreement of the test scenarios and cases
Ensuring documented traceability of test cases back to Operational Requirements
Determine all the pre-requisites required for test execution
Ensuring the user community have the full understanding of the test cases they will execute
Directing the user community through the test execution of their allocated test cases
Ability to empathise with any operational issues/defects and be able to report the issues articulately
Defect and progress reporting, using pre-defined templates
Working knowledge of Quality Centre
Telecomms experience essential. Unified Communications knowledge would be advantageous
Newbury based.
There may be some travel although this would be minimal and UK based
