Description
Database Administrator - Four our client in Basel we are looking for a Database Administrator with the follow tasks and experience.Your tasks:
- Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities.
- Create/Implement database maintenance plan to ensure data integrity.
- Manage the on-site backup and recovery process and/or support the off-site backup and recovery teams as needed.
- Troubleshoot PL/SQL code, shell scripts to support database applications
- Work extensively with other application groups to design code and tune database objects.
- Plan for and execute any required database upgrades and migration (patches etc.)
Your experience/skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of applicable work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Minimum 5+ years experience in one or more of the following technologies
- Oracle Enterprise Server 10.2, 11.1 and 11.2 :
- Real application cluster (RAC)
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Performance analyzer
- Database security (Enterprise User Security, Auditing, ACLs)
- Database performance tuning
- Problem troubleshooting
- Proactive monitoring via OEM or custom scripts
- Replication including designing for conflict avoidance and conflict resolution
- Overall Backup and recovery processes and technologies including RMAN, flashback, snapshots.
- SQL and PL/SQL language knowledge
- Ability to understand the impact of problems on overall database performance
- UNIX and Linux operating systems (Shell scripting capabilities is a plus)
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to collaborate with a development group and provide input to guide the database portion of a design
- Knowledge of these technologies preferred:
- Oracle Streams
- Oracle GoldenGate
- Oracle Data Guard
- Oracle APEX
