Description
Our client, a well known organisation in the medical sector is currently looking for a Cobol Developer to join their team.
Technical Profile:
*5+ years commercial development and support experience as a Cobol programmer in a VSE, or other similar IBM Mainframe environment
*Proficient in Cobol, CICS, JCL & VSAM
*Strong batch programming skills essential
*Experience in Financial Software eg Insurance, Banking would be preferable
*Experience of MS Access, MS Excel, Inter Test for CICS, Easytrieve and Redwood Explorer would be an advantage
Personal Profile:
*Third level IT or related qualification
*Articulate, confident and self-starter
*Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
*Innovative problem solver
