DUTIES
  • The position involves a range of activities to maximize the productivity and effectiveness of the department, and requires the highest professional communication and organizational skills.
  • Activities to ensure that the company and its contracted plans/participating provider groups are compliant with contractual and State/Federal regulatory requirements by providing administrative and project coo support to the Regulatory Affairs and Compliance department team
  • Assists with coordination of compliance training
  • May assist with audits internally and externally for all product lines
  • HIPAA-n activities, and maintaining efficient department filing and tracking/logging systems for department used internally or externally (eg, DHCS, DMHC, Plan Partners, Participating Provider Groups).
  • This position is an important participant in the preparation and execution of all regulatory audits and supports the Officer and the Privacy Officer in their activities.
  • The position provides administrative support to the Compliance Committee (ICC), Policy Oversight Committee (POC), and the Security and Privacy Ow Committee (SPOC).
SKILLS:

EDUCATION
  • High School diploma required. AA Degree or comparable work related experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE
  • Based on the above, this position requires an individual with a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters, ability to coordinate complex and diverse set of projects, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and sound judgment.
  • At least 5 years experience providing administrative and operational support coordination.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects with sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interface professionally with all levels of management within and external to the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and a strong customer service orientation are required.
Preferred
  • 3-4 years of managed care experience.
  • Proficiency using MS word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Project Track.
  • 1 year of health care compliance and governmental relations experience
