CIS Internal Designer
Aldershot
3-6 months contract.
The target rate to man is circa £35 per hour
The role is to be responsible for the compliant Design and Delivery to JSP440 & JSPS 480 standards and the relevant British Standards of the CIS Internal Design to a number of Buildings such as Offices, Guardrooms, Workshops, Armory's each of which utilizes a copper, Cat5e, Cat 6a, IRS coax and fibre optic, SM & MM and Network Equipment Room layout, for the Clients (MOD) buildings.
The post holder will act as the client technical representative for the Communication Information System as directed, interfacing with the various disciplines within the Design house, Architects, Mechanical Electrical, External Works team, Structural Engineers, Subcontractors and where required the Internal Equipment Suppliers. Able to be tactful in their approach to the various design houses to ensure the CIS requirements are met. Close liaison with the CIS External Design team to ensure the CIS requirements are aligned.
The post holder will report to the CIS Facilities Design Manager and will be responsible for articulating and presenting the technical scope of the various Internal designs to CIS FDM, Design Director, SCIDA the Client and the subsequent technical contract management of the scope
Electrical design for a range of buildings including production of design calculations, specifying equipment for general building services, generating drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Hevacomp would be beneficial but not essential. The project is on a large scale and fast track
