Description
Our client is a market leading solution provider focused on critical change projects within the financial markets. Its customers include major retail and investment banks, wealth management organisations, and trading houses. They implement a wide range of front to Back Office solutions for game-changing banking projects ranging from system upgrades, data migrations, decommissioning of Legacy systems, and full-scale implementations of brand new cutting-edge systems in the capital markets, treasury, wealth management, and energy space.
You will be responsible for architecting and designing the data integration for the Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions which includes new development, enhancements and production support in both the operational reporting and BI/Analytic reporting areas.
This role requires strong knowledge of BI and reporting principles, design & development experience with DataStage, a strong understanding of logical & physical data modelling, good communication skills and the ability to design & develop complex data integration solutions.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of DataStage design and development experience in a complex EDW environment.
- 3+ years working in a DataStage Architect capacity.
- Experienced in architecting data acquisition, staging and delivery strategies
- Experience working within a BI environment (knowledge of MicroStrategy, Business Objects or Cognos is a plus).
- Experience using advanced performance monitoring/debugging techniques using data set management tools, environmental variables and job monitoring is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of BI Data Modeling (Star Schema) and how it is designed.
