Quantity Surveyor (Telecoms)
Quantity Surveyor required for leading telecommunications business! Are you a talented QS with experience working on telecoms projects? Are you keen to work for a global business working on cutting edge projects? Do you hold RICS or CIOB accreditations? If so then this could be the ideal opportunity for you!
You will manage the site construction costs for large telecommunications projects to assess and evaluate costs provided by partners and to add value engineering to solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review partner civil & structural work quotes against detailed designs, price schedule and guidelines for unscheduled items.
- Negotiate agreement for items in quotes with partners, working with the team to develop guidelines for non-scheduled items.
- Use spreadsheet tools to generate customer order requests from agreed quotes.
- Negotiate agreement for items in order requests queried by customer.
- Following build work negotiate agreed final accounts with partners and customer.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RICS or CIOB accreditation.
- Degree or similar.
- Good knowledge of construction within the telecommunication industry.
- Experience and knowledge of network deployment and delivery projects.
- Experience of working with blue chip clients.
- Professional structured approach to working on own initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience of managing sub-contractors.
