Description
Scheduler / cost engineer required to join a global biotech company and be responsible for ongoing projects on site. Located in Dublin, they require a cost and planning engineer for a six month contract starting in June.Responsibilities:
* Responsible for developing and tracking weekly and monthly schedules for technical transfer and site engineering projects.
* Responsible for co-ordinating and communicating with the appropriate site Managers and corporate SMEs, the weekly and monthly manufacturing schedules for the assigned dependent or independent requirements.
* The Planner is also responsible for initiating, publishing and distributing all the required documentation associated with the assigned weekly manufacturing schedules.
* Responsible for assuring that all related dependent direct materials are available and released prior to scheduling and releasing firm weekly manufacturing orders.
* Responsible for interfacing with the Material Planning and QA Departments for verification of component availability as required.
* Responsible for tracking and taking appropriate actions regarding WIP which is associated with assigned dependent or independent demand.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Operational Management required.
* 3- 5 years of experience as a Planner with thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, material requirements, fill finish production scheduling, inventory management, production control.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Project.
* In order to properly calculate assigned dependent and independent demands the incumbent must have excellent math skills; at least college level math, statistics, and / or algebra.
* Good written and verbal communication skills are required in order to communicate effectively with different levels of Management within the organization.
