Description
SAP Project Manager FI/CO-Hong Kong - Contract - $40kHKD-$45k HKD per month plus bonus - duration 13 months
- The SAP Project Manager Finance and BI Application's role is to support Manager Finance and BI Applications on planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the Finance and BI systems and software applications.
- The role will support Senior Manager Finance and BI Applications on daily staff management and team administrative activities
- The role is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications.
- This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her applications team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical Finance and Reporting applications.
- Develops business case, roadmap and execution of the SAP FI-CO/BI strategy. Manages 3rd party vendors and quality assures their deliverables.
- Collaborates with other regions to deploy best practice solutions that align with the business's strategic plans.
Strategy & Planning
- Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new FI-CO/BI applications and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Design, develop, and install application enhancements and upgrades.
- Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
- Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts with software and service providers.
- Liaise with company's 3rd party vendors for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
Operational Management
- Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.
- Provide support for the following application portfolio:
- SAP FI-CO
- BW - BCS, BO, Financial Planning, APO reporting
- Other application as identified by management
Regional IT Asia Pacific Function
- Requires travel to Asia Pacific locations as per project requirements
Manager, Finance and BI Applications
- Senior Manager, Finance and BI Applications
- Director, Finance and BI Applications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business/Finance or Engineering and appropriate SAP qualifications required
- At least 7 years of experience in SAP environment
- Full project life cycle experience of implementing SAP FI/CO, SAP BW/BCS/BI-IP modules in a multi-national environment
- Ability to interpret the business IT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
- Extensive and substantial practical experience in interpreting business process management and business metrics
- Familiar in project planning and execution, including but not limited to, resource planning, change and risk management, issue resolution, and project tracking and reporting
- Hands on experience with SAP-related project implementation and maintenance
- Participation in a IT team responsible for business process re-engineering and delivery of enhanced business solutions through multi-year programs
- Excellent Numeric, Diagnostic and Analysis Skills
- Occasionally travel overseas are required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good business process knowledge
- Fluent in English
