ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT
I have played both Guidewire Configuration and Design for enhancements as per project
requirement. I discuss the functional requirements with Business Analyst during grooming and provide
the estimates for development. Then following TDD I write Gunit test cases prior to development.
Then I develop the code according to the requirements given in the functional specification/ user
stories in Jira following Agile methodology. I also give demo to the client at the end of the
sprint. Apart from this I also take care of Sync Point Defect fixing, Planning, execution and
delivery of change requests, major/ minor enhancements. I am familiar with GIT -used for code
storage and JIRA - used for tracking client requirements, defects and test cases. Additionally I
support other junior developers and guide them to complete their task.
Write client-side code in the Guidewire Digital Portal applications platform (Quote and Buy,
Agent Gateway, Claims Portal, Account Management) for the Guidewire web-based Insurance Suite
Applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter) using the Edge architecture
Development of front end digital capabilities that communicate with the Guidewire Core
web-applications through the Edge Services API offering new functionalities to the digital user
community
Develop prototypes quickly to showcase solutions to project/prospective clients to help visualize
solutions
Create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications with the Portal applications to
enhance capabilities exposed to the user base
Develop integrations with third-party software systems to provide functional and security
capabilities. Examples include Authentication, SSO and Authorization Agent Licensing, Agent
Management Services
Unit and Functional Test developed using KarmaJS
Prepare Detailed Design Documentation for capabilities developed using UML notations
Work with external consultants & developers
Train and build a team of experienced professionals
