About me
Technical Scrum Master with strong engineering background. Former architect and long-time freelance AEM Java backend developer. Experienced in stabilizing, understanding and evolving complex legacy enterprise systems and supporting distributed teams in delivering high-quality software.
Scrum Master Focus:
Supporting Scrum teams in applying Agile principles in a pragmatic way, adapted to real project constraints. Facilitating Scrum events with a focus on outcomes, team ownership and continuous improvement rather than process formalism. Working closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to improve backlog clarity, transparency and delivery focus. Identifying impediments and addressing them on both team and organizational level.
Quality-Focused & Team-Aligned – defining clear acceptance criteria and well-structured backlog items while leveraging team strengths to deliver high-quality, efficient outcomes.
Agile & Collaboration Experience:
Experience in multi-team and distributed setups, fostering collaboration between development teams, Product Owners, architects and management. Strong focus on communication, alignment and psychological safety to enable sustainable team performance and predictable delivery.
Worked as Scrum Master for an international distributed development team collaborating remotely between Switzerland and North Macedonia while coordinating closely with stakeholders on the client side in Switzerland.
IT & Engineering Background:
Former ressort architect and AEM solution architect with many years of hands-on experience as a freelance Senior AEM backend developer in Scrum teams. Strong understanding of engineering realities, technical constraints and delivery dependencies, enabling effective collaboration with technical roles without stepping out of the Scrum Master role.
Legacy System Expertise:
Strong ability to quickly understand complex legacy enterprise systems, stabilize existing solutions and pragmatically evolve them. Experienced in analysing mature codebases and gradually improving maintainability, delivery processes and system stability in large-scale enterprise environments.
This background allows me to act as a pragmatic Scrum Master, bridging Agile ways of working and real-world IT environments while keeping a clear focus on team effectiveness and sustainable delivery.
Availability:
Open for remote projects within Europe. Occasional on-site presence in Austria, Germany or Switzerland possible.
