During the last year I have been working on web applications (2D design tools, 3D visualization) and Java data processing and integration (Oracle, Kafka, ElasticSearch).
Before that I have done Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and others.

Project history
My first customers included the London Knowledge Lab (http://lkl.ac.uk), the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence [Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz] (http://dfki.de), and the Exzellenz-Cluster MMCI at the University of Saarland (http://mmci.uni-saarland.de).
Since then I've worked with customers from Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, Ireland, United States of America, and Singapore.
Design and implementation of major components of the ActiveMath e-Learning system, specially the Exercise System that runs interactive mathematical exercises backed by domain reasoners, and the Presentation System that transforms the semantic encoding of learning materias into displayable HTML, LaTeX, DVI, PS or PDF.
Later implemented the new AJAX front-end used for the Math-Bridge version of ActiveMath, partly as an independent consultant.Design

Betonblock Konfigurator
This web application was made for the German company Seliger. They wanted a configurator for their customers to calculate the number and sizes of concrete blocks for the most common constructions.

Nigerian Oil Spill Monitor
The software system used by the Nigerian National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) for recording, mapping and monitoring oil spills. Allows the citizens and other stakeholders check the accuracy of those reports at oilspillmonitor.ng

Nigerian Gas Flare Tracker
A web application that, from satellite measurements, identifies gas flares in Nigeria, and estimates the energy wasted, value of gas burnt, missing fees (penalties for gas flaring are seldom enforced), potential for electricity generation, and CO₂ emissions.
