I also often read script in VB, C# to understand business logic.
Last year I work with USA insurance company and contact all with all level stakeholders.
Previous rather deep and still in mind technology were Oracle PL/SQL.
Now I am Microsoft certified database expert 70-761, 70-762, 70-764, 70-765, 70-767, 70-768, AZ-900, DP-203, DP-300. AZ-400 in progress and didn't pass AZ-302 due to lack of time to prepare.
As for German was able to speak 27 years ago and didn't use from that time. In Austria I was able to understand most announcements in transport.
