Project history
Alexander was responsible for examining the current Azure architecture to ensure best practices were being followed. He also created estimates, and roadmaps for implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep for existing azure resources. Short-term assignment, 1 month.
Tools: Bicep, Azure DevOps, CI/CD

Alexander was working in the Data Integration Platform team, which is
responsible for creating integrations between systems and machines. His
main responsibility was creating multiple new event-driven
Microservices in C#/.NET, using message brokers and APIs, with a high
focus on code quality applying multiple design principles such as Domain
Driven Design and Clean Architecture. His work also consisted of some
front-end work in Blazor, Angular, and Vue.
In addition, he led improvement work of the team's CI/CD pipelines.
During his time, he restructured the pipelines in Azure DevOps to follow
Microsoft reference architecture. The pipeline's performance,
re-usability, and maintainability was improved by implementing robust
templates. The pipelines also included static code analysis using
synopsys products Polaris and Black Duck.
He was also responsible for investigating a Infrastructure as Code
strategy for the client. As the applications were hosted in Azure, but also
on-premise, several IaC syntaxes were evaluated such as Bicep
templates, Kubernetes manifests, and Terraform. Both GitOps using
ArgoCD and more traditional push based deployments were evaluated.

Solution Architect - Identity management project
Alexander was responsible for an Identity Server and acting as an
solution architect. The main focus of the assignment was to increase the
performance and scale the application to be able to handle multiple new
countries. During his time at the company, they entered three new
markets which needed specialized login solutions. The solutions were
built with dotnet, C#, and deployed in Azure using ARM templates.
The Identity Server was responsible for providing JWT tokens for logins
both for end-users visiting an e-commerce website, employees login into
company systems, and other systems that needed tokens for
authentication towards other systems.
Tools: .Net 6, ef core 6, Azure DevOps, Azure Api Management, ARM
templates, Swagger, k6, and other.
Lead Developer - Integration project
Alexander was Lead developer for a new event driven Microservice built
with C#, .Net Core, consisting of Azure functions and an API. Azure
DevOps was used for planning, as well as CI/CD. He engaged in the
design, and implementation phase. The project ended in a successful
implementation, on deadline and budget.
Tools: .Net, Azure Functions, Infrastructure as Code, WebAPI, REST, SQL,
NSwag, Swagger, EF Core, Application Insight, Azure Key Vault and ARM
Templates.
