What started as a short project assignment, gradually evolved into a more comprehensive role to setup,
maintain and develop Epworth's Cognos infrastructure including , server, cubes, Framework Manager
models, executive and management reporting. Reports developed from the Data Warehouse in 2006 are still
operational and get sent to mangers each morning.

Achievements :Our research indicated we built the most detailed Patient History and Operating theatre
Reporting Data Warehouse in Australia. The insight this project gave management was revolutionary to
optimise Theatre Operations and patient care.

This role was conducted on a part time ongoing basis and generates hundreds of reports each month which
management relies upon to make executive decisions as to the performance of the hospital group

Evening Lecturer

Lecturing, teaching and setting curriculum exams and tests to reflect industry needs in DEGREE and TAFE
programs. I only gave up the lecturing because my full time work, required me to frequently travel.

Achievements : Set the curriculum for two subjects in the Certificate of Computer Business Applications.
Maintained 93% class attendance and 95% pass rate in all subjects taught.

PC Trainer & Course Developer

Responsibilities: PC based training, course design, consultancy and support. I coordinated the training
programs and their delivery. I was also responsible for maintaining and installing 4 separate computer
training networks.

Achievements : Provided training to over 1500 clients. Developed course curriculum. Setup and maintained
the 24 classroom PC's. Clients included Telecom, RAAF, Footscray Council, Bungee International, ASTA.

and fortnightly payroll for customers. Management, requisition and maintenance of company PC's and
associated peripherals.

Achievements: Kept the high technology resources up to date and working at optimum efficiency with
extremely little computer down time. Researched and developed and implemented a Local Area Network
strategy. Developed procedure manuals for the EDP department from scratch.

PC Trainer

Assisted disadvantaged people of all ages to develop skills in a variety of work related areas. Taught short
courses in database management and PC literacy for a number of outside business organisations as part of
short course offerings.

Achievements : Developed course materials and trained 12 courses which were four weeks long. Helped
purchase and installed computer hardware. Also obtained great satisfaction helping long term unemployed
people learn to use PC's and then go on to obtain employment using PC's.

PC Support Analyst

This position was held whilst I was a student at Victoria University. It is also where I found I had a natural
talent for teaching and helping others learn as we were required to 'help' student in the computer labs with
their assignments.

Equipment installation, maintenance, repairs, software installation, setup, facilities maintenance, LAN
installation and monitoring. Also ensuring computer labs were in working order for students to be able to do
continue their studies uninterrupted.

Achievements: Worked within tight budgets and provided services in the most cost and time effective
manner, suitable to educational computing with small budgets. By maintaining the equipment regularly we
were able to reduce breakdowns.
