What started as a short project assignment, gradually evolved into a more comprehensive role to setup,
maintain and develop Epworth's Cognos infrastructure including , server, cubes, Framework Manager
models, executive and management reporting. Reports developed from the Data Warehouse in 2006 are still
operational and get sent to mangers each morning.
Achievements :Our research indicated we built the most detailed Patient History and Operating theatre
Reporting Data Warehouse in Australia. The insight this project gave management was revolutionary to
optimise Theatre Operations and patient care.
This role was conducted on a part time ongoing basis and generates hundreds of reports each month which
management relies upon to make executive decisions as to the performance of the hospital group

programs. I only gave up the lecturing because my full time work, required me to frequently travel.

Maintained 93% class attendance and 95% pass rate in all subjects taught.

their assignments.

installation and monitoring. Also ensuring computer labs were in working order for students to be able to do
continue their studies uninterrupted.
Achievements: Worked within tight budgets and provided services in the most cost and time effective
manner, suitable to educational computing with small budgets. By maintaining the equipment regularly we
were able to reduce breakdowns.
