Senior Azure and cloud infrastructure engineer with 30+ years in enterprise IT, the last decade focused on Microsoft Azure and hybrid estates. Hands-on across Azure infrastructure (VNets, subnets, NSGs, VMs, availability design, App Services, Storage Accounts LRS/ZRS/GRS, Key Vault, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Backup, Site Recovery), hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure DNS Private Resolver, Entra ID / Entra Connect, domain-joined Azure workloads), and Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Hyper-V, VMware (VCP) and SCCM on the on-prem side.

Infrastructure as Code and DevOps: Terraform (modular, multi-environment, state management), Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI and PowerShell; Azure DevOps CI/CD (YAML and Classic), Azure Repos, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, Azure Automation Runbooks. Cloud security and governance: Azure RBAC, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Log Analytics, Azure Policy, management groups, Key Vault secrets and certificates, Microsoft 365 security (Defender, MFA). Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, KQL, SCOM.

Cloud migration and modernisation: Azure Migrate assessment and lift-and-shift, discovery and dependency mapping, wave planning, SQL Server to Azure SQL / Managed Instance, cutover and early life support. Recently planned and delivered a migration programme covering 321 servers across 23 business services. Also AKS cluster deployment and containerised workloads, Azure Functions, Event Hubs.

Delivery across UK and European public and private sectors including the European Patent Office, BAE Systems, DEFRA, NHS, Rolls-Royce, the Department for Education, TransUnion, ATOS and Cardiff University. Previously SC cleared (eligible for re-clearance). Certifications: MCSA, MCTS (SCCM, Active Directory, Network Infrastructure), MCP, VMware Certified Professional, CCA, ITIL, CITP. Fluent Italian.
