Project history
I worked in a financial services organization in London to migrate existing systems
from on premises Team City, NuGet, Nexus and Stash/Bitbucket to GitHub and Azure
DevOps and Azure and minimally AWS. Secondly my role as a DevOps and Cloud Lead
for new implementations requiring deployment to new cloud infrastructure.
o Implement end to end DevOps CI/CD pipelines using on Azure DevOps,
PowerShell, Terraform and Azure
o Deployment of infrastructure to Azure and AWS and on some prem servers.
o Deploy service and front-end applications to the cloud. Including Kubernetes
and Azure App Services and Frontdoor
o Standardize the build and deployment processes
o Work with developers, architects and infrastructure teams to assess best
deployment practices and methods for new projects. Mixture of .dotnet,
NET Framework and Azure SQL solutions were worked on
Designed and implemented Infrastructure as Code solutions, utilizing Terraform to
provision, manage, and scale high-availability cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Developed and maintained robust, modular DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines within
Azure DevOps, enabling automated, continuous deployment for infrastructure and
applications. Data was stored on MySQL
- Leveraged PowerShell and scripting best practices to automate complex deployment
tasks and environment configuration, ensuring idempotency and security compliance.
- Managed the deployment lifecycle of multi-stack applications (including .NET, PHP,
and Python services and front ends) into the cloud environment. Deployed to
Kubernetes and Azure App Services
- Collaborated directly with software development and architecture teams to define,
standardize, and optimize cloud deployment methodologies and infrastructure
patterns across new project initiatives.
- Helped migrate some of the applications to GitHub (to take advantage of improved
co-pilot capabilities)
