Biotechnology engineer

I am a bioengineer with a master degree of science in biotechnology. During graduate at Izmir Institute of Technology, my studies focussed on protein engineering and as part of my dissertation I improved catalytic activity of CYP119 enzyme by utilizing recombinant DNA technology and protein engineering approaches. Briefly, those techniques include PCR applications, primer design, side directed mutagenesis, prepepration and transformation of competent E.Coli cells, extraction and gel electrophoresis of DNA, extraction and purification of proteins, enzyme activity assays. Furthermore I developed a rapid high-throughput screening method. During undergraduate at Ege University, I improved my skills on bioprocess and optimised pullulan production in Aureobasidium Pullulans by making modifications on air-lift bioreactor. At my former work in Implasens GmbH (Berlin), as chief laboratory officer, I planned and conducted experiments to examine effects of electric field on human Lutropin hormone.
