Project history
As a natural evolution following the work done at Tremend for Leroy Merlin, I have been delegated to the latter, transitioning my role to Enterprise Architect.
As an Enterprise Architect, I am able to have a far more extensive impact, helping drive the crucial three-year transition period for decommissioning all legacy systems in a controlled and structured manner. This process follows a strategic plan to ensure that all critical data and functionalities are migrated to the new systems without any loss of service or operational capabilities.
This transition will support business expansion and scalability by enabling the creation of new web-based features, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness, and increasing Leroy Merlinâs presence in the professional market.

Handling the Leroy Merlin Romania and Ukraine ERP and interconnections to a plethora of other external applications, such as TTL and Enterprise Architect. The project was taken over by Tremend from the previous French team, with almost no documentation and limited trainingâcompared to the scale of the project. During this time, the team has been able to understand the project, document everything, and reach autonomy both on the development side and on the Level 3 support side, with SLA.
At this moment, the team is successfully providing support and development for the Leroy Merlin ERP in Romania and Ukraine. Since the system is more than 10 years old and very few upgrades have been made during this time, there is significant technical debt that needs to be addressed, along with a considerable amount of work required to migrate to more recent technologies.
Additionally, I am involved in the Presales Initiative for the European Union Projects team. This team is responsible for analyzing the documentation for EU projects and making GO/NO GO decisions for each one. There are typically 1 to 3 new projects per week, and the GO/NO GO decision must be made within 5 days of receiving the documentation. My role is to provide the GO/NO GO decision from a technical and architectural perspective.
In the public sector for the European Commission, I have worked as a lead architect on several consultancy projects. I have successfully driven and delivered these projects from the initial stage through to acceptance. This has been accomplished through a series of discovery workshops, background research, analysis, and documentation, followed by the delivery and acceptance phase. I have created multiple architectural vision documents, supported by customer presentations.
