Project history
Contributing to the Futhark optimizing compiler under Prof. Troels Henriksen (University of Copenhagen), across the intermediate representation, optimization passes, and code generation. Co-authored full flattening for irregular nested data-parallel programs as a pass over Futhark's GPU IR (merged upstream, PR #1740). Implemented a decoupled look-back chained scan in the multicore backend for a ~26% speedup (merged upstream, PR #2343).
Designed, developed, and tested Shadow Integrity Control (SIC) in LLVM/Clang: an IR middle-end pass plus AArch64 backend passes for hardware-assisted control-flow integrity in C. Triaged and debugged low-level failures with GDB and the Arm Fixed Virtual Platform. Won the Best Demo Award at Secure Systems Demo Day 2025; the work was published at ISQED 2026.
TA for Principles of Compiler Design and Programming Language Theory: designed assignments, wrote educational content and documentation, led recitations, and reviewed student code.
