About me

Automation-driven engineer working on complex Linux-based systems and open-source stacks. I design and operate scalable database platforms, focusing on reproducibility, reliability and eliminating operational heroics through automation and clear system design.

Database Platforms & Performance Engineering
Design, operation and optimization of large-scale database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Deep expertise in performance tuning, high availability, replication and operational reliability.

Linux & Systems Architecture
Extensive hands-on experience with Linux-based production systems. Strong focus on system reliability, observability, and reproducible infrastructure.

Automation & CI/CD Ownership
Design and implementation of automation-first infrastructures using Ansible, Puppet and Terraform. Ownership of CI/CD pipelines (Git-based workflows, trunk-based development, deployment governance).

Cloud & Container Platforms
Public cloud infrastructure design and operations in cloud-agnostic environments. Containerization with Docker and hands-on experience working with Kubernetes in production contexts, focusing on reliability, deployment workflows and operational stability.

Web & Deployment Infrastructure
Nginx-based deployment architectures, release management, caching strategies and production hardening of web platforms.

Version Control & Engineering Workflows
Advanced Git workflows, repository governance, and scalable development practices.

Scripting & Automation Engineering
Advanced Bash scripting for automation, systems integration and infrastructure tooling.

Project history

Oracle Automation Architect

Worldline

Banking & Financial Services

>10.000 team member

My work focuses on turning Oracle infrastructures into reproducible, observable platforms through Infrastructure as Code and automation-first practices.
  1. Designing Oracle platforms as code using Puppet, Terraform and Git-based workflows
  2. Building CI/CD pipelines for database provisioning, configuration and lifecycle operations
  3. Implementing end-to-end observability with Prometheus, Grafana and alerting systems
  4. Reducing operational risk and human error through automation and standardization
  5. Supporting high-pressure environments where systems are already complex and expectations are high
Typical stack: Oracle 19c, Linux, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana, Bash, Python

Automation Architect / Database Automation Consultant

Self Employee

Other

5000-10.000 team member

Worked with large enterprise environments in payments and aviation sectors, designing and automating Oracle database platforms in critical, highly regulated contexts.
  1. Automating Oracle infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD workflows
  2. Standardizing database provisioning and operations across heterogeneous environments
  3. Improving observability, reliability and operational consistency
  4. Supporting complex systems where downtime and manual errors were not acceptable

Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Actito

Internet & IT

500-1000 team member

At Actito, I worked on automating infrastructure and application platforms using Infrastructure as Code principles, with Puppet as a central component of the automation strategy in a hybrid environment.
  1. Automating on-premise VMware and AWS infrastructure using Terraform as the control layer
  2. Enforcing system state and configuration across platforms using Puppet
  3. Operating and automating a broad open-source stack (load balancers, application servers, databases, messaging)
  4. Ensuring consistency, repeatability and reduced manual intervention across environments
This role consolidated my platform-first approach to automation, moving beyond scripts into structured, reusable infrastructure design.

Database & Systems Automation Engineer

VoxelGroup

Internet & IT

50-250 team member

At VoxelGroup, I worked on a large-scale, product-based platform delivered entirely as a service, operating as a high-throughput invoicing gateway for the hospitality sector, processing hundreds of thousands to millions of invoices per month with Oracle databases at its core.
  1. Designing and automating an internal Oracle Database as a Service platform for standardized provisioning and lifecycle management
  2. Automating database platforms using Rundeck, SaltStack, Bash and Jenkins pipelines
  3. Operating Oracle and PostgreSQL platforms, addressing the significantly higher complexity of Oracle automation
  4. Participating in the infrastructure evolution from on-prem clusters (Red Hat, GFS, KVM) to a Nutanix-based platform
  5. Introducing Ceph to offload non-relational workloads from Oracle, improving efficiency and cost control
This role marked my transition from traditional DBA work to platform-level automation and large-scale infrastructure design.

Systems & Automation Foundations

Multiple companies

Internet & IT

50-250 team member

This stage laid the technical foundations of my career as a systems and automation engineer, built through hands-on work in large-scale, production-critical environments.
  1. Working at Atlas IT (later part of NTT Europe) on enterprise customer platforms, managing systems end to end: operating systems, storage, databases and application stacks
  2. Developing a strong operational mindset focused on reliability, performance and troubleshooting under real production pressure
  3. Administering a high-performance computing cluster at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (CNAG), operating hundreds of compute nodes and large-scale parallel storage
  4. Gaining deep expertise in Linux internals, system performance and automation at scale
Across these early roles, I developed a habit of automating everything repetitive and engineering solutions designed to survive complexity, scale and time.
