I'm a technical writer and content writer, based in the East Midlands, UK. I can help you by creating user-friendly content that explains how your products and services work, using terms your customers understand. I specialise in writing technical content that’s modular, so that instead of pages of content, each page is made up of ‘chunks’ that can be reused in lots of different projects. That approach can help you save money and time when producing customer support content.
20+ years' experience as a technical writer
Lots of experience working in software teams and have documented SCADA and IoT platforms, so know about remote monitoring and control systems
Have worked on physical products too, including data centre cooling systems, time sync devices for cameras and sound mixers, and pelvic floor strengthening devices
Some experience of documenting APIs
Experience and training in copywriting too, so can create marketing content
Knowledge of single-sourcing, content modelling, modular content, content reuse, user-centred writing, UX
Know how to use technical writing tools including Paligo, MadCap Flare (I am a certified Flare developer), Adobe FrameMaker and InDesign, Atlassian Confluence, and support centres like Zendesk and Freshdesk
