Functional Safety Engineering
Functional Safety Engineer (ISO 26262, ASIL A-D, SOTIF, ASPICE). Expertise in FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, Design Verification Plan (DVP), and V-Model Development. Structured reliability engineering as a first-class discipline for identifying and eliminating failure risks before products reach the field.
Embedded Systems & Hardware Development
Multi-Vendor MCU depth across Freescale, NXP, Renesas, and Microchip platforms with internals-level understanding through surrounding hardware and electronics design. Proficiency in Power Electronics, Analog Front End (AFE) Design, Power Topology and Magnetics Design (PSFB, LLC, Flyback, Push-Pull, Gate Drivers, DC-DC Converters), Hardware Design and PCB Layout, and Embedded Software Development in C/C++.
EV & Battery Management Systems Engineering
End-to-end development of multi-voltage BMS platforms (48V-96V class, EV and BESS) and EV Charger platforms. Deep expertise in Lithium-Ion Battery Systems, On-Board Charger (OBC), CAN Bus communications, and vehicle-level integration across 2W/3W EV powertrain systems.
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing & Validation
Established and operated HIL test infrastructure using Vector CANoe, VT System HIL lab, dSPACE, and VectorCAST. Designed and built custom test setups including BMS test setups, cell emulators, and dynamometers for functional and end-of-line validation.
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Application of MATLAB Simulink, Embedded Coder, Capella MBSE, and Siemens Polarion ALM for model-based development and requirements management. Experience with ASPICE v4.0 process frameworks and multi-discipline systems engineering.
Automotive Communication Protocols
Deep expertise in CAN, LIN, SAE J1939, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS, ISO 14229), OBD-II, and Secure Bootloader Development. Defined CAN Bus communications and networking architecture for EV platforms.
Engineering Leadership & Team Scaling
Built, led, and scaled multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 14-30 members across EV and automotive systems. Designed role structures and performance frameworks grounded in business objectives, and delivered cross-functional execution.
Software Verification & Validation
Proficiency in Software Verification and Validation, MISRA-C Compliance, CI/CD pipelines, and Test Automation. Delivered production-grade DVP testers, EOL systems, MCU drivers, and embedded firmware across automotive and EV programmes.
Product Lifecycle Management & OEM Engagement
Full product lifecycle ownership from concept to production, including requirements engineering, architecture, DVP, production line setup, and on-site client integration. Direct engagement with OEM and Tier-1 automotive clients including Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Daimler.

Project history
Led a Tier-2 engineering services and consulting firm delivering mechatronics and power electronics engineering work as a specialist services partner to Tier-1 automotive and energy suppliers. Built a 14-person cross-functional engineering team (HW, FW, HIL validation, functional safety, systems). Owned P&L, cost structures, and engineering investment decisions. Led end-to-end development of a multi-voltage BMS platform (48V-96V class) and a sub-3kW EV Charger platform. Established engineering toolchain: Vector CANoe 19 + VT System HIL lab, OrCAD X Pro, MATLAB Simulink R2024b + Embedded Coder, Siemens Polarion ALM, VectorCAST, CI/CD pipelines.
Head of Testing & Validation for Livguard EV Drivetrain, a SAR Group EV subsidiary building 2W/3W EV powertrain systems. Built and scaled the T&V function (30+ engineers across HW, FW, test automation, and systems integration) from inception. Transformed validation approach into an OEM/Tier-1-grade process with systematic T&V framework. Defined CAN Bus communications and networking architecture for the 2W EV platform. Designed the charger-battery communication protocol for fixed and swapping applications deployed across Battery Smart's national battery-swapping network. Designed and built the company's first BMS test setup and test beds for Charger, Motor Controller, Drivetrain, Battery pack, and DC-DC.
Ran an independent embedded systems engineering consulting practice for 6+ years with sustained multi-year delivery relationships with 7-8 clients across the Mahindra automotive supply chain, predominantly Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers. Delivered production-grade DVP testers, EOL systems, MCU drivers, and embedded firmware. Designed and developed bootloaders from scratch for Renesas RL78 and RH850. Delivered BMS firmware for automotive and energy applications including Analog Front End (AFE) design. Delivered barcode scanning/printing and warehouse systems for production tracking.
