Duties and Responsibilities:
* Led efficient and results-driven safety team, as well as Line Management responsibilities
* Managed and delivered ILS, safety and environmental artefacts to customers including ILS plans,
Through Life Management Plan (TLMP), Safety and Environmental Management Plan (SEMP), Safety and
Environmental Case Reports (SECRs) and Hazard Logs
* Developed and implemented engineering strategy for the Supportability Team

Accomplishments:
* Built the ILS capability within the Supportability department
* Delivered environmental management awareness course to 9 engineers for the implementation of
MOD's POEMS on various military platforms

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provided environmental training to OSVP safety managers and assurance to OSVP Team Leader
* Produced Safety & Environmental Case Reports in accordance with JSP 454, JSP 815, Def Stan 00-56,
POSMS and POEMS
* Conducted hazard identification of various land equipment and produced several hazard logs
* Reviewed and updated safety and environmental documentation for several OSVP platforms,
including: Landrover, Pinzgauer, RWMIK, Vixen, Heavy Equipment Transporter, Oshkosh vehicles and
MAN vehicles
* Facilitated risk referrals from OSVP to Army HQ using relevant Land Forces Standing Orders (LFSO
3216) and ASEMS processes

Accomplishments:
* Trained five (5) safety and environmental managers in OSVP on how to conduct POEMS complaint
environmental assessment
* Updated and reviewed all Safety and Environmental Cases in OSVP in compliance with Def Stan
000-56
* Successfully conducted and completed a safety accident investigation on one of the major
platforms in OSVP

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provided regular assurance to the Director Land Equipment OC on safety and environmental
performance of the operating centre through audit reports and face-to-face briefings
* Conducted multiple audits and produced audit reports and recommendations which significantly
improved safety and environmental management across all project teams in the LE OC domain
* Conducted Safety culture audit and SEQP audit of all Project Teams in the Land domain
* Produced an audit report for the Director Land Equipment (DLE) which led to the improvement of
safety and environmental management within the OC
* Ensured safety critical personnel completed essential training for them to carry out their
responsibilities
* Attended several Safety and Environmental Management Panels (PSEPs)
* Presented safety and environmental advice to teams
* Produced reports of safety and environmental management maturity
* Represented LE OC at various environmental working groups as the Environmental Lead
* Identified major risk classification problem with all Protected Mobility Vehicle Programme (PMVP)
vehicle fleet due to discrepancies between Risk matrix in PMVP SEMP and several safety case
reports through audit. This led to a rewrite of all safety case reports and provided assurance on
safety for use argument of the vehicle fleet
* Provided training session to safety managers on the impact of MOD environmental policy on their
projects
* Participated in the discussion and demonstration of sustainability in defence contracts and how
to implement it within the MOD - Now part of POEMS v3.2
* Represented LE OC on the panel responsible for the development of Def Stan 00-051
* Led the Safety and Environmental engineering audit of LEOC in order to demonstrate to LSSR that
Land equipment follow the MOD Acquisition Safety and Environmental Management (ASEMS) following
an improvement noticed placed on Land OC by the regulator
* Produced and distributed the audit plan to all the teams in LE OC, carried out the audit and
produced audit reports for each of the project teams and a summary audit report for the LEOC
Director (2* General). Final audit report included the Chief Engineers corrective actions for
their business units following PTs audit report

Accomplishments:
* Instigated a major culture change across the Land Operating Centre in DE&S through the safety
culture audit I carried out and the implementation of my audit recommendations
* Saved The Armed Forces £600m+ in losses
* Satisfied LSSR with the level of audit performed and the evidence provided in the report. The
improvement notice was lifted, saving the MOD over £600m
