Professional Experience
BNP PARIBAS — Risk Analyst Intern
Credit Risk | 1 year
• Worked on processes used to calculate and update risk rates, gaining practical exposure to how risk calculations are translated into repeatable analytical processes.
• Contributed to the development of a structured data-mart architecture for risk-related information, with emphasis on organizing data so that it could support analysis and downstream risk processes.
• Tested risk processes and investigated inconsistencies in outputs, supporting process validation and optimization.
• Worked at the intersection of risk requirements and data/process structure, translating analytical needs into structured information and repeatable checks.
• Used analytical reasoning to understand risk-process inputs, transformations and outputs and to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Worked within a banking environment where accuracy, traceability and consistency of risk information were important.
MSc Finance with Applied Statistics - Tilburg University

Project history
Built a test framework around a simplified risk-calculation process, focusing on the same type of control logic used when validating banking processes.
• Mapped the process from source data through transformations to final risk output.
• Defined input, transformation and output-level checks.
• Tested mandatory fields, ranges, duplicate records, period consistency and reconciliation conditions.
• Added regression-style checks to identify unexpected changes in outputs after a process update.
• Documented exceptions and the investigation path required to determine whether an issue came from source data, transformation logic or calculation itself
Built a reusable three-statement financial model and forecasting framework for a fictional SME using public-style financial data.
• Structured revenue, cost, working-capital, debt and cash-flow drivers.
• Built base, upside and downside scenarios.
• Linked assumptions through the income statement, balance sheet and cash-flow statement.
• Added sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlo-style uncertainty analysis for selected drivers.
• Created a management dashboard showing revenue, margins, cash generation, leverage and scenario outcomes.
• Documented assumptions and model checks so another analyst can refresh the model.
Designed a small banking-style analytical data mart to demonstrate how raw operational/risk data can be converted into a consistent structure for reporting and modelling.
• Defined entities and analytical grain for customer, account/loan, transaction/payment and risk-assessment data.
• Separated source/operational data from analytical facts and dimensions so recurring reporting does not depend on manual spreadsheet manipulation.
