Full-Stack Software Engineer

On the frontend I build with Vue 3, Nuxt, and Tailwind CSS, writing typed components and owning features from the UI down to the data layer. On the backend I work primarily in Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django) and PHP (Laravel), with Node.js/NestJS for TypeScript services. I design against a layered architecture (resource, controller, service, repository) with dependency injection, and I refactor test-first, writing characterization tests that pin existing behaviour before I change it. I build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs and have shipped real-time features over WebSocket. On the data side I work with PostgreSQL and MySQL, plus MongoDB and Redis where they fit.

My current focus at rhome is the compliance assessment engine behind a global-mobility product, the core that evaluates every cross-border work trip against roughly 50 country rule sets and produces the A1, posted-worker, and certificate-of-coverage outcomes the rest of the product depends on. I build full-stack features on top of it across the Vue/TypeScript frontend and the Python service backend, and I led a refactor of core account and configuration access onto the layered architecture above.

I also do AI/LLM engineering and take those systems all the way to production. I designed, built, and deployed Sherpa, a RAG assistant running live on aayushali.com, covering retrieval over a pgvector store, embeddings, prompt design, streaming responses, an eval suite for regression-checking quality, and guardrails against off-topic and abusive input. It runs solo from empty repo to live: Docker, nginx, and a CI/CD pipeline I set up myself.

On tooling and delivery I use Docker, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, Nginx, and Linux, with Loki and Grafana plus structured logging for observability. I work agent-first with Claude Code every day, across both feature work and larger refactors, and I've delivered fully remotely across timezones for a German company for years.
