With more than 30 years of experience in project management within application software development, software customizing, ITK infrastructures and industrial automation, I've driven within the last 10 years mainly large-scale IT projects (up to 70mln euro as sub-projectmanager and up to 11mln euro as project manager) with international virtual teams. I carry certifications as PMI PMP, ITIL v4, Professional Scrum Master and SAP Certified Associate - SAP Activate Project Manager.
In my last project I lead 2.5 years a project within a major telecommunication company, which set up a new marketing campaign management platform based on Pega Marketing and the big data platform Cassandra. With a 40-member, international, virtual team we have set up a new private cloud infra structure and the new software system has been designed, implemented, tested and deployed in a system landscape of more than 100 systems. The system serves 20mln custmers.
Before that, I've managed multiple telecommunication projects between 1mln and 5mln euro budget and focus on intercarrier communication and processes as well as a tablet based 360° view on customers, based on the big data platform QlikView. Various front end systems servied approx. 5000 agents.
Within that engagement, I also coached customers' project managers and developed and executed trainings around the topic project management. In trainings I attach importance to a media mix between PowerPoint, flipchart, moderation boards, as well as frontal teaching and group exercises.
Within the same company, I've supported a large-scale international project of 70mln euro to develop and introduce a new order management platform as a sub-project manager.
In 2014 I've carried out a software vendor evaluation for an insurance company. Goal was a market research and creation of a weighted short list of potential software vendors for a new call center software.
As a project manager and chief architect, I've developed a web based three-layer software system to care for members of disease management programs (DMP) of health care companies. The system now still is in operation after more than 10 years.
Between 2000 and 2007 I've established and operated a contact center with up to 250 employees on two locations as co-founder and CEO. Main focus was complaint management for a major internet provider.
About the topic risk management in projects, I've written a technical contribution, which was published in multiple media.For the efficient qalitative scoring of large amount of risks in workshops, I've developed the floor matrix.
My certification and my analytical thinking gives me a strong process oriented view on projects. On the other hand, my experience in projects gives me the flair for the soft facts in project management. Due to my past activities as software architect, infrastructure architect and software developer, I also can ask the right questions in technical matters.
