Project history
Leading a two-pronged Enterprise Architecture effort, an organisational re-design of the Enterprise Architecture function in accordance with GDS DDAT guidelines and also setting in place a Capability Maturity initiative to identify opportunities to mature and delivering a programme of works to enhance capability through level 3 to level 4 remediation works and generation of key Enterprise Architecture collateral.
Specific tasks
- Capability Assessment & Mapping to roles, Mapping roles to skills and roles and responsibilities, (RACI)
- Organisational design principles
- Developing organisational taxonomy
- Developing a maturing capability framework, concentrating on key areas of Strategy, Governance, Integration (including data/information).
- Generation of key strategic artefacts
- Preparing a Tranche of work for outsource
I was responsible for the technical oversight and governance of ICT & Cyber security scope on
high-risk, high-complexity, high value global major projects which are often "critical national
infrastructure" type.
I was heavily engaged in pre-bid, at project start-up, and key milestones to ensure major projects
are bid and delivered credibly, to specification, budget, and schedule. I identify, recommend, and
help implement innovative ideas and tools to reduce our cost to serve and improve our ability to
deliver high quality outcomes in a reduced timeframe.
These truly Global Projects involve challenging technical, functional and contractual requirements
and required a strategic thinker with a proven ability to provide strong leadership and to develop
tools to deliver consistent outcomes at all stages of the lifecycle.
