I am an IBM i (AS/400) developer and IT systems professional with around 10 years of experience working with business-critical applications in financial and ERP environments.
My core expertise is development and maintenance of applications running on the IBM i platform using RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, and modern free-format RPG), DB2 for i databases, embedded SQL, and CL programming. I have extensive experience working with long-running legacy systems, understanding complex business logic, and gradually modernizing existing solutions while ensuring stability of mission-critical operations.
During my career I have worked on a large in-house ERP system supporting financial and accounting processes across an international group of companies. The system included modules such as general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, payment processing, fixed assets, and cost analysis. My work included development of new functionality, maintenance of existing modules, troubleshooting production issues, and improving data processing and reporting.
I also designed and implemented integrations between the IBM i system and other information systems such as HR platforms, invoicing systems, banking interfaces, and reporting tools. These integrations involved data transformation, automated data transfers, and ensuring reliable communication between systems.
Beyond application development, my experience also includes broader IT responsibilities such as coordination of development projects, collaboration with external vendors and business users, and support of server environments and related infrastructure. I have worked with reporting and analytics solutions based on Excel and Power BI, preparing datasets and data models for financial and operational analysis.
As an independent consultant, I provide remote IBM i development, maintenance, and system support services. My focus is helping organizations maintain and evolve their existing IBM i environments while introducing improvements that make systems easier to maintain, integrate, and extend.

Project history
Providing outsourced IBM i development, ERP modernization, and IT system services. Leading projects for clients of various sizes, from SMEs to multinational corporations. Maintained and modernized a legacy ERP system. Developed new features in Free Form RPGLE, maintained older modules in RPG III. Designed and implemented API integrations with internal and external systems. Wrote complex SQL queries for ad hoc reporting. Administered IT infrastructure: servers, virtualization, user management, security policies. Provided ongoing support to ~50 ERP users across Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia. Mentored junior developers, acted as go-to technical lead for all architectural decisions.
Designed mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA, SolidWorks and Moldflow. Coordinated with production teams and external vendors.
