Project history
Project: ROKU Core OS
Contract: Jan 2022 - June 2022
Engineered and implemented the Roku Unified Configuration Service, a system dedicated to the
seamless synchronization and updating of firmware across more than 60 million active devices.
Utilized embedded C++ 17 for device-level coding, enhancing efficiency and performance. Leveraged
Java for server-side development, ensuring robust and reliable operations. This cohesive system led
to consistent user experience by maintaining up-to-date firmware across all devices.
Selected Responsibilities and Achievements
* Architectural design and implementation of server-side code in Java 15
* Architectural design and implementation of client code on Roku devices in C++ 17
* Architectural design of in-house communication protocol for low latency
* Testing and gradual deployment on user devices.

Project: IBOR Transition.
Contract: Jan 2020 - Jan 2022
Major refactoring and code rewrite of the existing GPU codebase for XVA as part of the IBOR
transition project.
Selected Responsibilities and Achievements
* Codebase profiling with Intel VTune for the C++ host code and NVIDIA visual profiler for the
GPU code.
* Identification and optimisation of the key bottlenecks leading to an average overall
performance speedup of x11 for the entire XVA library.
* A concrete example of this achievement would be the runtime speedup of a large batch from 8
hours to around 40 minutes.

Project: Guilt Electronic Trading
Contract: Dec 2017 - Dec 2019
I was responsible for developing the bank's guilt electronic trading platform, including the order
execution management system, market data replayer / backtester, all of which were cloud based. In
addition to trade execution the overall infrastructure was designed to also cover portfolio
construction, risk management and performance. Programming languages used were C++ with C# and
Python bindings.
