With more than 20 years in professional software development and a decade of deep Magento expertise, I help retailers turn complex commerce ideas into fast, resilient, and profitable platforms. Today I serve as IT Director / Head of Software Development at Jawro, where I launched VisuOpti—a fully serverless lens-centration SaaS built on AWS Lambda, Laravel 10, and React 18. The product processes 300 + measurements every day in 20 + optical stores, drives subscription revenue, and synchronises real-time data to Magento 2 with sub–5-second latency. I also secured board approval for a modular ERP rewrite that will power a 40-store chain, and I mentor a four-engineer team, rolling out CI/CD, Jira, and clean-architecture practices.
Previously, as Magento 2 Technical Lead at Web Solutions NYC, I designed Adobe Commerce ecosystems that integrated 15 + third-party systems per site—ERP, PIM, CRM, payments, search, and fulfilment. I directed full-lifecycle builds for teams of up to ten developers, steering more than 5 000 engineering hours on time and on budget. My optimisations pushed flagship stores below one-second page load under peak traffic, while mandatory code reviews, static analysis, and 90 % test coverage kept quality high and deployment failures at zero. I have delivered advanced B2B capabilities such as punch-out, unit-of-measure pricing, and negotiable quotes, alongside consumer storefronts in fashion, healthcare, and hardware.
Earlier roles at Divante and Creatuity hardened my rescue-mission skills: refactoring legacy Magento 1 stores, introducing click-and-collect in just four weeks, and resolving high-priority outages within SLA. At Creatuity I became the firm’s first Magento-certified developer, earning a company-sponsored trip to Magento Developer Paradise. As a solo developer I built eOpti, an optical-chain management system, an early Java-based online try-on app, and a million-node Drupal portal for tender intelligence. I even founded and grew an online sunglasses retailer from Allegro listings to a self-hosted Magento 1.3 shop, automating merchandising and boosting seasonal revenue five-fold.
Technical depth: PHP 8, Laravel 10, Magento 2 & 1, AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Nginx, Linux, Bitbucket Pipelines, Deployer, MySQL 8, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Varnish, React + TypeScript, Hyvä Theme, REST & GraphQL APIs, Cypress, PHPUnit/Pest, PHPStan, ESLint, New Relic.
What I bring: a proven ability to marry clean architecture with pragmatic delivery; leadership that turns small teams into high-impact units; and a passion for measurable outcomes—whether it’s shaving seconds off load time, eliminating rollbacks, or unlocking new revenue channels. If your project demands an architect who can dive deep into Magento internals, orchestrate cloud-native services, and still speak the language of business results, let’s talk.
