My primary role was to create the visual look and feel of a website, while also considering how users will interact with it. This involved:
- Designing the layout: This includes arranging the elements on the webpage in a way that is both visually appealing and easy to navigate.
- Creating the user interface (UI): This refers to the buttons, menus, and other elements that users interact with. I made sure the UI was intuitive and user-friendly.
- Developing the visual style: This included choosing the color scheme, typography, and imagery for the website. The visual style should be consistent with the website's brand identity and target audience.
- Work on user experience (UX): While UX design is a separate field, many web designers have some knowledge of UX principles. This means we consider how users will find and use the website, and design it accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date on web design trends: The world of web design is constantly evolving, so web designers need to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies.
- Collaborate with other professionals: Web designers often work with web developers, content creators, and marketing specialists to bring a website to life.
